The Panama City-Bay County Airport and Industrial District awarded Hensel Phelps the North Terminal Expansion project at the Northwest Florida Beaches (ECP) International Airport to provide preconstruction services for the expansion program. This will lead to a potential construction services contract to build the following scope.
The North Terminal Expansion will tie into the existing terminal and will program approximately 80,000 SF of new space between two levels. The first level will contain a new baggage claim area with up to four carousels, the exit lane from the concourse above, restrooms, baggage offices and the main vertical circulation core coming out of the relocated TSA Checkpoint. The second level will be a new concourse with three new gates, approximately 600 new hold room seats, restrooms, a mechanical room, a secure elevator, light wells to the baggage claim below, clerestory windows and the upper portion of the vertical circulation core.
Hensel Phelps’ preconstruction services will include design reviews, market analysis, value engineering, development of a master project schedule and development of the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Phase.
