Esports Center at The University of Texas at Dallas

About the Project

The University of Texas at Dallas Esports Center is a transformative addition to the Student Union complex, strategically positioned to create a new northern gateway into the heart of campus. Initially constructed in 1979 and expanded over the decades, the new Esports Center transforms the underutilized pub space into a vibrant hub for student life. The Esports Center combines competitive and recreational gaming into a unified, state-of-the-art facility that fosters community and engagement through 17,939 SF of various gaming zones, including an open gaming lounge, multipurpose gaming area, flex rooms, broadcast and production spaces, offices, food service areas and an outdoor lawn. The fast-paced project, delivered in just over a year, redefines how gaming, learning and student life intersect on campus with a high-performance, high-impact space that will serve as a nationwide model for collegiate esports facilities.
